Carl Zeiss' Cinemizer head-mounted display has received a hardware upgrade in the form of OLED displays inside, which should further increase the image quality whenever you place them in front of your eyes. There is one major drawback about the Cinemizer though - we're talking about 640 x 480 resolution (VGA) which is by far and large not enough in this day and age. On the other hand, this model will also deliver greater compatibility with non-Apple devices, while making you look decent enough to hang out with even when you're wearing a pair. Coby's latest MID, the 810 model has been spotted at IFA 2010. Looks like the company which has had its fair share of non-famous portable media players hit the market over the years will be dabbling in the tablet market. The Coby MID810 will feature an 8-inch TFT display that has resistive touchscreen capability, not to mention the inclusion of buttons that has been built straight into the bezel located right below the screen itself - just like how many other Android smartphones are. Other hardware specifications include a built-in FM radio and a 1.3-megapixel camera. Slated for a release later on at an unspecified date, we are wary of Coby's offerings since many of them have been spotted at events like CES, but failed to materialize in the real world. We've seen concept solar-powered traffic lights before, and here is another variant, conceptualized by a Chilean designer. This traffic light aims to take over the traffic control duties and uses an LED display that is capable of displaying additional information such as the maximum speed limit and the notification of incoming emergency vehicles, aside from the usual red, yellow and green indicator lights. The system is designed to connect with the pedestrian crossing in order to ensure that pedestrians are able to get across the roads safely too. The folks over at the FCC have revealed some information on an upcoming HTC phone again, this time it's a rather interesting 4-inch device that is labeled the “PD42100". Details are still scarce, but we do know that it'll support CDMA 2000, GSM 850 and EV-DO Rev. A. Other features should include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and possibly a 1.2GHz processor, which would make it one of the more powerful phones around, assuming that it doesn't take too long to arrive on the market. From the pictures, it's obvious that this phone will sport a sideways sliding keyboard, along with a removable battery. We'll be keeping an eye for more information on this phone, so stay tuned!
